category 2 - light restoration |

category 3 - heavy restoration |
|
This type of restoration includes many of the same steps utilized in category 2. In addition the object may be missing a portion (i.e. hinge, handle) of its original design. Typically objects in this category are moderately damaged and will require extensive reconstruction and assembly. Items such as silver tea services, candelabras, large silver bowls and table ware are the most frequent objects that need this service. |

category 4 - artifact conservation |
|
This type of work is highly specialized and requires a high level of metallurgical and academic knowledge of conservation techniques. Obviously, it is the most time consuming of all of the metal finishing processes we offer. The primary goal of metal restoration is to preserve and stabilize the structural integrity of the valued object. Close collaboration with the customer is required during the conservation process. |
