pricing guide - rhodium plating

Rhodium is our most popular decorative white "bright" metal plating when a non-tarnish final finish is required. Used primarily over sterling silver items, rhodium can also be plated onto a wide variety of other metal materials (i.e. steel bronze, brass). Similar to hexavalent chrome in depth and appearance, it has exceptional resistance to discoloring and incidental abrasions.

For long term stability rhodium can not be plated directly onto silver, copper alloys, steel and other metals without a protective undercoating of nickel or palladium. All items that we plate are meticulously cleaned and pre-plated with a layer of palladium. Your item is then electroplated with a .20 micron layer of durable bright rhodium.

Due to the volatility for the costs of rhodium, the pricing data can only serve as a general guide. We will be happy to provide you with a firm price once we have a chance to view the item.
